Things I love about pregnancy:

-Feeling a little angel bounce around in my belly (my absolute favorite thing of all).

-Never having to suck in.

-Getting to use the pregnancy card. Whenever I want to. For everything (and trust me – I been usin’ it).

-Always getting a seat on BART (and never feeling guilty for not giving my seat up).

-Having an excuse to wear leggings every day of my life.

-Having an excuse to purchase the tiniest, cutest little things that manufacturing can bring to the table (namely adorable newborn babe clothes).

-The fact that people are extra nice to you… perfect strangers telling you congratulations, people letting you in the front of the line, friends bringing you things, mommas throwing you baby showers, husbands doing anything you ask of them at any time of the day or night (and lots of things you don’t even have to ask them to) (course my husband has been like this whether our entire marriage, pregs or not. What a gem.), etc etc.

-Having something to be extra excited about and invested in with your husband. Something that brings you even closer together. Something that you know is more important than anything else going on in your life. Something that will change you and your life and his life, forevs.

Guys, the truth is I feel like I’m real good at being a Complaining Constance and keeping it real about all the awkward, unsavory things related to pregnancy. Mostly because I find a teeny bit of humor in it all. But it has dawned on me that I should probs be more vocal, at least once in a while, about the aspects of pregnancy that don’t suck even a little bit. There are a lot of those. And I’m so, so grateful and pee-my-pants excited that I’m having this experience of growing a human. It is nothing short of miraculous.

Thank you so much to all who shared their advice on this post regarding what to buy for the babe. Your insights have been soooooooo helpful. Now it’s time to take a deep breath and cough up the dough for all the stuff we need! (woof kinda)

Pertaining to the fashion related: I’ve been a little obsessed with Baublebar lately. It’s getting out of control. Also fur. Can’t seem to get enough fur. The end.
