You guys – my due date is Saturday! What the whaaaaaaat? SO, so crazy. Now whether he’ll actually be here by then is a different story completely. I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and she told me that my cervix was still hard as a rock (ummmm, TMI?). Yikes. The hilarious thing is that, as you all know, I didn’t want baby to come early. I have been feeling perfectly content with the prospects of him coming right on time or even late. However, doctor talked to me a little bit about what next steps would be if he was late, and none of those sounded too fun. Cervical ripening? She mentioned cervical ripening. What the deuce is that? When I asked her to explain, she refused, saying she ‘didn’t want to scare me’. Ummmmm, ok lady – well when you say that, trust me – I’m scared! Come on?! Anyway, that’s where we’re at with things. I’ll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the support!
K, but we have to talk for a minute about this dress I have on in this post. Many of you have probably heard of Sonnet James. But if you haven’t, you must check them out. I’m not sure that I have ever put a more comfortable garment on my body. This dress is sooooooo soft and yummy, and the fit is surprisingly flattering, even on a 10 months pregnant lady. The other thing that impressed me was the quality of the fabric. It’s thick and stretchy, and it seems to want to hug you in the right places and skim past the unfavorable ones. It’s super functional, so flattering, so easy and so comfy. This dress is legit amaze-balls. If you’re a mom wanting to look hot whilst chasing around your little rug rats, OR even if you’re not – a dress from Sonnet James might just change your life. Get them here!
Oh, and be ready for a giveaway of one of these little numbers coming in the near future. Woot!
Have a Tantalizing Tuesday!
Thanks for reading.

You look awesome! I was induced with both of my boys, I guess I made a really comfy home? They didn’t want to leave. haha! If they want to induce, I’d ask to schedule your induction date as late as they’ll let you, in the hopes that he’ll show up naturally. Some practices won’t let you go over one week past your EDD and others will let you go two weeks past your EDD. Best of luck! 🙂
P.S – With induction – slow & steady is the mindset to have. With my first son it was 25 hours long. With the second it was 16 hours long. But it was worth it!
It has probably dragged for you, well the last trimester any how but seriously I can’t believe that you are almost due! Don’t panic Darl but I do hope your cervix ripens on its own! 😉 Ax
Cervical ripening just means that they will give you some medication (usually a drug called Misoprostol) to dilate and soften your cervix if it doesn’t do it naturally. Sounds kinda gross but it’s not scary!
