We had an appointment with the doc yesterday. The verdict: cervix is still tightly closed and hard as a rock. Awwwwwwwwesome. Conclusion is that if Baby J doesn’t come on his own this week, we’ll be induced Sunday night. Stuff just got REAL up in here peeps!
Husband and I have been trying to soak up our last days of being without a child. Guys, I hope that doesn’t imply that we’re not elated about having a baby – we genuinely are, make no mistake about it. We just realize that everything changes after this. On Saturday we were sitting next to each other on the couch watching something on T.V., just enjoying doing nothing together, when suddenly I burst into tears. Husband looked over in alarm and asked what was the matter. Through my bawling I was able to warble out ‘It’s never gonna be like this again!’ Haha. Funny, looking back on it now – a pregnant lady in all her hormonal glory, having a moment of nostalgic sadness over the realization that things were going to be different. The best change in the world, mind you – one that I am so, so thankful to be experiencing. But a change nonetheless. And change is hard for most of us, isn’t it? Even when it’s welcomed?
At any rate, I am vowing this week to let go of the obsession I’ve had over completing as much as possible off this self-imposed to do list of mine, and rather, try to just soak up the moments. Moments of sleep. Moments of being alone with my husband. Moments of seeing movies and going to dinner and being able to leave the house in 5 minutes or less. And moments of dreaming with Chase about what this little angel of ours is going to be like. We. Are. So. Excited.
Have a Tabitha Tuesday!
Thanks for reading!

I’m an obsessive planner, so being induced was actually a little bit of a relief for me (instead of sitting around, waiting to pop). But I definitely recommend you stuff yourself on the way to the hospital since they won’t let you eat once you’re on meds (I LOVE to eat – it was torture!).
And the anchors on your tank are kind of amazing. Almost makes me want to be pregnant again to wear it, but probably not 😉
Good luck!

Oooh good tip about eating first. Thanks Michelle! I’m kind of an obsessive planner too, so being induced doesn’t sound too bad to me as long as baby is safe and comes out smoothly! 🙂 xoxoxo
Ahhh! Almost there. Good luck, girlie. One way or another, in less than a week you’re going to have a baby. We have no plans for children in the near future, but I’ll tell you one of the things I’m most afraid of is how much change a child will bring.

Oh my goodness, such a cute look! I can not wait to meet your little bebe!
Looking good, momma! Love the camo jacket so much. I’ve been keeping my eye out for the perfect one.
I’m so excited for you, my friend! I had a full-blown meltdown the day before we had Dylan. We went out for dinner (which we still refer to as The Last Supper) and I ugly cried the entire way home. Just the idea that after that day, life was going to change forever was so overwhelming. And you know what? Life is different- harder, more tiring, and more complicated… but it is happier than ever. Sure, I would love to go out on a whim and spend my time exactly how I wanted, but I wouldn’t trade what I have now for anything. Good luck with everything this week, and keep us updated!!!
You’re looking so fabulous! I’m loving that anchor tee and camo combo!
