What to Wear for Thanksgiving Dinner

Wait, whaaaaaaaa? We’re already thinking about what we’ll be wearing to Thanksgiving dinner? YEP! I’ve teamed up today with the lovely and fabulous Kacie from Kacie’s Kloset to give you some ideas of what to wear for the big dinner this year. November be flyin’ by peeps, and sooner than you think we’ll all be sittin’ down with family and friends to stuff our faces in shameless gluttony, all in the name of gratitude. What a great holiday, right? Long live Thanksgiving!

Whenever I’m pondering what to wear to the big dinner, in my mind I usually lean toward something real cutesy and fallish, with lots of layers. And thennnnnn I remember the 9-month old food baby I will be delivering promptly after dinner, and suddenly a million layers and form fitting knits just don’t seem like the best idea, amiright? So this year, I’m keeping it simple and sticking with something comfy-cozy and fall chic: the no-fail oversized turtleneck (FTW!). With plenty of room to grow, I won’t have to worry about people thinking I am already knocked up again by dinner’s end. And by pairing a statement necklace and some killer heels with this ensemb, I’ll look like I tried – but not too hard… I’ll look comfortable – but not frumpy… and I’ll look dressed up – but not overdone. WINNING!
