That awkward moment when the only outfit pics you have available for use really stink and you didn’t get a chance to take more over the weekend so you’re forced to use the poopie ones. Woof. Sorry guys. Still praying for that photographer who wants to take my outfit pics every day to materialize out of thin air. Is that so much to ask?
This is an ensemble I wore to a family birthday party about a month ago. It was on a Sunday, and Sundays typically for me = PIG.OUT. Translation: I need to wear something that won’t expose the 8 month old food-baby I’ll probably have by the end of the night. I wanted to feel comfy without looking frumpy. COMFY NO FRUMPY! So I busted out this very basic sweater and then dressed it up a bit. It’s amazing what a few accessories and some heels will do for an outfit eh? And it’s amazing how much better you’d be able to SEE that if these pics didn’t suck so badly. Muh Bad.
Lesson learned here: add pops of color through your shoes and accessories to spice up an otherwise very neutral and basic outfit. Note: a couple of my fave places to look for inspiration on how to flawlessly add the ‘pop‘ are here and here. And if you need to, wear TWO necklaces instead of just one. Woot Woot!
Sweater: Nordstrom Rack | Jeans: Thrifted | Sling-back Heels: Thrifted | Turquoise Necklace: Forever 21 | Gold-ish necklace: Forever 21 | Bangles: Express, F. 21, Walmart | Turquoise Ring: Vintage
p.s. tomorrow is the last day to enter last week’s GIVEAWAY. Have you entered?

you must be a thrift MASTER to have found jeans. i’m an avid thrifter myself, yet i have never ever found a pair of pants that fit me even half as well as yours do! i have a similar pair of heels in mind from F21 and now i can’t wait to pair them with a neutral outfit.
SO glad you got that necklace:) miss yo face!!
Love this look! Totally realistic for a casual day.
Plus I totally know what you mean about a food baby.
