We’re into full-on fall weather, even here in sunny Cali-forn-i-a, and I can’t get enough of sweaters. I love this navajo-inspired sweater from Choies. It’s got a ‘dances with wolves’ motif going on that makes me feel at one with nature and the animals and… what the deuce am I talking about? Mostly I just love the pretty pattern and how drapey, warm and cozy it is. The end. Hope you’re having a great week so far! Ours has been cray-cray busy! We went to dinner with dear friends on Monday night, went to a Halloween party last night, are going to dinner with some other good friends tonight + a choir rehearsal (did I ever tell you I sing sometimes? Orrrrrrr try to sing is more like it these days.), and we got stuff the rest of the week. That might be the norm for all the cool kids…
Old Navy Sweaters
So the truth is, ever since becoming pregnant, all I have wanted to wear are over-sized sweaters. And by over-sized I mean OVER.SIZED. My better judgment has kept me from purchasing all the XXL’s I can find (even though that’s what I really want) and helped me stick with sizes that look loose and comfy but don’t drown me. Good thing Old Navy has a gazillion adorable sweaters right now (which you can buy over-sized if you share my love for that). Ummm, yeah – pretty sure I’ve purchased like 12 of them. That being said, my next challenge has been spicing things up. ‘How do I make an ensemble consisting of skinny jeans and an over-sized sweater more interesting?’ my brain has asked me. Answer: statement necklace + killer boots + a faux leather jacket + a cool-kid beanie. Remember how I just put my beanie in the ‘cool-kid’…
These boots again + my new fave vest
What does a loose fitting shirt + sucking in + photoshop equal? Disguising your 16-week prego belly as a small food baby instead of a real baby. Yep – that’s what’s happening in these here pics. Can we talk about how happy I am to have this out in the open now? Mostly because I’ve been dying to tell you everything I’m feeling and experiencing (i.e. 12 weeks of near-barfing, overnight porn-star boobs, and the weirdest (for me) cravings evs). Also I was getting real sick of having to suck it in and edit the crap out of my photos just to keep all of this a secret. I’m lettin’ it all hang out now peeps, so get ready! Something you may or may not know about me: I have some addictive tendencies. Is it mildly creepy when I say it like that? Mmmmyes. But mostly what I mean is…
Dogs and Hunter Boots
Note: prepare to see these Hunter boots all.the.time. I purchased them a few weeks ago as a present to myself for landing a new job (yahoo! no longer just a ‘contractor’ at LinkedIn! Permanent employment: you feel sooooooo good.), and I have been praying for rain ever since. Then I had this idea: screw the weather and do what I want. Right? So hurrrrrr they be, in all their pillar-box red glory. And get used to it, cuz I LOVE me some Hunter boots. (and for the record, they’re totally worth the price – even in the opinion of my serious cheap skate self. You can get them HERE!) Oh yeah – there’s a dog on my sweater again. Try not to judge me. (thank you Joules for feeding my animal emblazoned sweater obsession!) Outfit Details: Sweater: Joules, c/o {buy here} {also love the Fox version} | Button-up: Thrifted |…
Black on Black
Cool: this adorable top from Oasap. Not Cool: how bad these pics are. And how lumpy I look in this outfit. Aaaaaand why do my boobs look like they’re the size of cantaloupes? K. I’m stopping. Just know that *I* know that I’ve had better outfits, and better pictures, and better body moments. And I’m ok with that. Cuz sometimes, it happens. The end. p.s. Check out the boots. A winner was chosen! Bonus: they’re comfortable as can be. Huzzah! You can get em’ (ON SALE!) here.
