Why is this my new favorite scarf? Oh just cuz
a) polka dots are like cookies: they instantly put me in a slightly better mood. And by slightly I mean significantly.
b) what CAN’T you do with this scarf? Right? I mean surrriously.
c) it doesn’t cost very much moooolah. Great price + completely adorbs = right up Shanaynay’s alley.
And in case you were wondering…
a) YES – these are high-waist pants that zip up the side. And YES I embraced their high-waistness, like it ain’t no thang.
b) NO I did not ever end up going and getting a manicure, and YES I’m aware that I desperately desperately need one.
c) YES these adorable lace-up-the-leg wedges (my shoes) were only $7 at the thrift store. I love me some thrift store shopping! NO I have not yet discovered the awesome thrift stores here, and YES it is killing me slowly, but surely.
d) YES, I sometimes refer to myself as Shanaynay – my vain, worldly alter-ego who loves clothes and all pretty things, and YES I do my best to keep her under control so she doesn’t entirely take over… cuz that just should not and cannot happen.

So, isn’t it about time you start showing us some SUMMER outfits? In San Fran you could probably pull off a cardi year-round (especially since you don’t have any body fat on that figure of yours to keep you warm) but over here there’s no way I’m gonna wear a cardi in July or August. Except maybe in the movie theater. Cause they’re always freezing. Point being, I wanna see some hot (literally and figuratively) summer wear!
