Mansemble Study:

Why is a Mansemble Study happening right now? Three reasons:
a) Husband and I couldn’t pull ourselves away from the olympic trials last night to take pics before all the good lighting peaced out (right? is anyone else totally pumped about the Olympics this summer? i’m STOKED! Woot Woot!).
b) Johannes Huebl rocks some seriously killer mansembles that I think any guy could benefit from copying. Are you sitting there wondering ‘Who the deuce is Johannes Huebl?’ Yep – I thought so. The ladies will probs recognize him as the boyfriend of one of the best dressed women on the planet: gosh durn Olivia Palermo (hate her cuz i wanna be her. k not really. just wanna dress like her. and maybe look like her. the end.).
c) You won’t want to admit it, but after looking through these pics, you’re definitely gonna have a Mush (man-crush) on this guy. All reasons why he is the perfect subject for a Mansemble Study.

So what is it that makes this guy’s style so fab? Answer: he nails it in the two departments that matter most – BASICS and SUITS. He seems to have mastered the art of pairing basics together in a way that looks classic, simple but not boring, and still very masculine. And as far as the SUIT department is concerned? Well, gentlemen – let me put it this way:
A well-tailored suit is to women, what lingerie is to men.
Sorry to have to say it quite like that, but it’s the easiest way to get the point across. And – it’s the truth. GUYS: if you want to solicit some double-takes in your direction, whether it’s from your wife, your girlfriend, the lady you wish were your wife or girlfriend, or from ladies in general – go invest in a good suit. Emphasis on the good part. A high-quality, well-tailored suit doesn’t have to be the most expensive suit either. In fact, check out this post from another Menswear Expert for more info on that.
Bottom line: Nail the basics, wear suits a little more often, and when you do – make it a dead sexy one. With that combo, the mushes (man-crushes) and the crushes (lady-crushes) will be on YOU.
