Can we talk about how summer feels like it’s almost over guys? Woof. I hate being that person who says crap like that. Don’t you feel like you want to punch people who say things like that? All it does is put a big fat rain cloud over everyone’s summery, sunshiney parade. Way to go Shannon. Furthermore, summer is really only about half way over. There’s tons left to be enjoyed! My bad guys. My bad. Maybs I’m feeling like it’s dwindling in a depressing way because my maternity leave ends and I go back to work at the beginning of August, plus all of our summer visitors and vacays have basically come and gone. Orrrrrr maybe I found out last night that husband has to take a sudden out of town trip for four days this week and it was too expensive/didn’t work logistically for me to go, so baby and I have to stay here by ourselves (yikes). Orrrrrr maybe my house looks like a hurricane blew through it and I’m just a Melancholy Melanie about a boat load of silly things today. Woof – sorry guys. Real life. But 1-2-3 I’m over it! Counting my blessings and choosing to be happpppppyyyyyyyyy! Right?

Husband and I met up with my family a few weeks ago and stayed for a week at the Oregon Coast. The house we stayed in was absolutely stunning – a cape cod inspired, massive home with beautiful hard wood floors, white molding everywhere, pale gray walls, vaulted ceilings, balconies everywhere. It was gorge. One of those things that’s hard to capture in a photo, ya know? These pics were taken outside the house. I’m missing it so badly on a day like today, where all I want to do is be back on carefree vacation! K I’m gonna shut it now and go clean my house. Woot!
