And we’re BACK! Happy New Year’s Eve Urrrrrybody! Chasee and I have been off getting our winter-wonderland on in Cascade, Idaho (or did that sound kinda dirty? unintentional. muh bad.). Highlights: going snowboarding for the first time in almost a decade (knees + butt = black & blue), car slipping on the ice and running into/getting stuck in a giant snow bank AND getting a speeding ticket on the way to go snowboarding (for the record peeps, I wasn’t the one driving, thank you very much), becoming pregnant with a 10 lb. food baby, and just spending time with my huge, crazy, out of control but generally hilarious family. Turns I love those folks. We’re headed out of the snow and back down to Boise for NYE, and then back to Cali tomorrow. Because this holiday lends itself to sappy expressions of love and appreciation (and rightfully so!), I’m going to take this opportunity to be a Mushy Maureen and tell you all THANK YOU! Thank you for reading, for following, for forgiving (the unfiltered, ridiculous, totally idiotic and at times even offensive things I have said. Pleeeease forgive me?), for sharing your honest opinions (umm, GBO?), for becoming real-live friends, for spreading the word, for being kind, for not judging… for just coming back! And I learned that he was SO worth the wait. The truth is guys – there are some feelings that are easy to describe: ‘I feel happy’ or ‘that’s so woof’, or ‘I’m pee my pants excited’. I’ve found however that other feelings can’t always be summed up so easily. They’re too significant, too deeply rooted, too tied up in the intangible and the inexplicable.
