Cool: Being pregnant. Not cool: Having back-fat. And love-handles. And chunky arms. And tree trunk thighs. Cool: Being pregnant. Not cool: Noticing that your hips are spreading (already?!), and that your boobs are approaching watermelon size even though you’re only about half-way there (hello the nightmare that those things are going to be by the end? And when I start breast feeding? Yikes.) Cool: Being pregnant. Not cool: Being that girl who whines and complains about how her body is changing whilst being pregnant. Zip it and enjoy the miracle of creating life, right? Be grateful that you’re able to get pregnant at all, right? Right guys? Right?! That last line is what I tell myself every time I want to mitch and bone about all the body changes I’m experiencing right now – the scary, creepy, I-sometimes-want-to-cry-about-it body changes I’m experiencing right now. The truth is this you guys:…
Menswear Monday
I had sushi this weekend guys. It. Was. Awwwwwwwesome. We’re talkin’ everything I had hoped and dreamed it would be and more. Totally worth the pretty penny it cost us (sushi ain’t cheap – let’s be serious). It took talking to some folks who are much smarter than me to realize that not ALL sushi is raw (durrrrrf) and therefore I could still eat it, even as a prego person. Praise the Lord! There never was a happier girl in all the land. In other news, Joules may or may not be one of our new fave places to shop online. Their stuff is adorable. Most of husband’s outfit came from them, and I rocked Joules attire here and here. We’re not even mad about any of it. Not one bit, not at all. Oh, and if you’re needing to update your jackets/coats inventory for the fall and winter seasons,…

Sweater Style
We’re into full-on fall weather, even here in sunny Cali-forn-i-a, and I can’t get enough of sweaters. I love this navajo-inspired sweater from Choies. It’s got a ‘dances with wolves’ motif going on that makes me feel at one with nature and the animals and… what the deuce am I talking about? Mostly I just love the pretty pattern and how drapey, warm and cozy it is. The end. Hope you’re having a great week so far! Ours has been cray-cray busy! We went to dinner with dear friends on Monday night, went to a Halloween party last night, are going to dinner with some other good friends tonight + a choir rehearsal (did I ever tell you I sing sometimes? Orrrrrrr try to sing is more like it these days.), and we got stuff the rest of the week. That might be the norm for all the cool kids…

Old Navy Sweaters
So the truth is, ever since becoming pregnant, all I have wanted to wear are over-sized sweaters. And by over-sized I mean OVER.SIZED. My better judgment has kept me from purchasing all the XXL’s I can find (even though that’s what I really want) and helped me stick with sizes that look loose and comfy but don’t drown me. Good thing Old Navy has a gazillion adorable sweaters right now (which you can buy over-sized if you share my love for that). Ummm, yeah – pretty sure I’ve purchased like 12 of them. That being said, my next challenge has been spicing things up. ‘How do I make an ensemble consisting of skinny jeans and an over-sized sweater more interesting?’ my brain has asked me. Answer: statement necklace + killer boots + a faux leather jacket + a cool-kid beanie. Remember how I just put my beanie in the ‘cool-kid’…
