Spring into Fashion

You guys – it’s officially SPRING! Huzzah! Spring always gets me excited. It feels fresh, new, and like something good is about to happen. Naturally, one of the things I always look forward to most is spring fashion. I’ve teamed up with Zappos today to showcase a few trends I’m feeling particularly giddy about…

First off, WHITE. It’s the must-have color of the season, showing up everywhere from handbags to finger and toe nails (trend alert). And for good reason – what feels more fresh and new than white? I had been wanting a white handbag for awhile now, so when I spotted this Michael Kors bag, I knew it had to be mine.

And it wasn’t just the color of the bag that drew me in – it was also the cross-body design. Cross-body bags are all the rage right now, which is a nice turn from the 20 lb suit cases, er I mean totes and satchels that we’re used to carrying around. Don’t get me wrong – the oversized bags aren’t ‘out’, but the cross-body bag has definitely taken center stage as the hot ‘in’ trend the season.

Finally, take a cue from this dress as to another mega trend this season – the ethereal summer dress. Think light, airy, effortless, and abounding in hints of spring color and you’ve described the trend to a T. I took one look at this dress and knew it needed to be in my life. I think it was the pretty hemline and the hint of floral that really won me over. Bonus: it’s NOT maternity, so this beaut can work for pregos and non-pregos alike. Winning!

And what do we love about Zappos? Oh just the fact that it’s where you’ll find the latest and greatest trends, all in one place. One-stop shopping, you say? Mmmmmyeah – not even mad about that. If you’ve never visited Zappos or it’s been awhile, I highly recommend you get your hiney over there and get ready to spring into fashion this season. Woot woot!
