Ok guys – progress talk time. I wanted to update you on how Nutrimom is helping this prego sister out in the ‘staying fit during pregnancy’ department. So here’s the latest!
- My coach Katie has been fabulous about sending me messages to check in on how I’m doing and see what progress I’m making with the goals I set. I get a notification and an email any time she sends me a message. You guys, I’m not gonna lie – there is something about having Personal Coaching during this crazy pregnancy time that is sooooo helpful. Not sure if it’s the accountability factor or if it just helps me remember the goals I’ve set in the first place, but for realsies – it’s helping!
- One of the initial goals I set with my Nutrimom coach was to create a meal plan. Not to create a list of things I should or should not eat (cuz I don’t believe in that), but rather so that I could avoid eating out so much. Chase and I are weirdos. In some ways, we literally still live like single people. We eat out a lot you guys – mostly because I hate cooking, Chase gets home pretty late from work every night, we both feel swamped 98% of the time, and getting take-out food just always ends up being the easiest thing. However, we both know that it’s not the healthiest – for our bodies OR for our budget, frankly. That’s why I set a goal with my coach to create a meal plan. That way, we’d spend less money each week on food AND we could make healthier choices because we’d have stuff in the house. The meal plan has been made, now I just need to go shopping. 🙂
- One of the other things I’ve been trying to do is search the digital library on the Nutrimom app. It has all sorts of good info – from workout ideas, to reminders about what foods to avoid while prego (I can never seem to remember the full list), to healthy recipes and snack ideas. Guuuuud stuff.
- Things I still want to try: Nutrimom offers webinars and group coaching sessions. I’ve really come to see the value in community and accountability around goals, so I’m interested to see if these could help.
- The Nutrimom program offers a specialized line of nutrition products to help ensure you’re getting the nutrients you need at every stage of your baby’s development. I’m kind of wanting to try these out too.
I’ll keep you posted on how it’s going with Nutrimom. Signing off for now…
