And I learned that he was SO worth the wait.
The truth is guys – there are some feelings that are easy to describe: ‘I feel happy’ or ‘that’s so woof’, or ‘I’m pee my pants excited’. I’ve found however that other feelings can’t always be summed up so easily. They’re too significant, too deeply rooted, too tied up in the intangible and the inexplicable. Really, they are just too sacred. THAT is how I feel about my husband: I feel like I don’t know how to describe how I feel. It’s hard to find words that accurately portray feelings, isn’t it? They just don’t ever seem to do justice.
What I CAN say is that nothing has ever put me at such a loss for words as do my feelings for this boy. He is the peanut to my butter. The toast to my jam. The ring to my bell. Most importantly, he is the answer to my prayers. I used to make this request of God: “Out of everyone in the world that You know I could marry and be happy with, I want You to align my path with the man that I could be the happiEST with – my BEST match out of all of the ‘goods’. Well ladies and gents, I am here to tell you from personal experience that God answers prayers, because that is exactly what happened. Two years ago today as a matter of fact.
Gee – for a girl at a loss for words, that’s a lot of them up there.
