Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Husband and I saw the movie Selma a couple weekends ago. Have you seen it? So good you guys. To be honest I’m not one who can usually stomach those types of films. The movie ’12 Years a Slave’ for example? Not a chance. For some reason we decided to gird up our loins and see this one, and I’m so glad we did. It was super intense and painful to watch, but it succeeded in teaching me more about the Civil Rights efforts of that time and heightening my respect and gratitude for it all. What bravery MLK and everyone who participated in his movement had. I was blown away by it.

Anyway, I’m hoping for you all that you: a) have the day off (praise the Lord that I do luckily enough!), b) have a moment to reflect and feel grateful, and c) have a moment to SHOP!
