Just a quick little outfit post today, with all the trappings of a solid amateur blogger: fuzzy images, pics taken in the backyard because we were too lazy to go anywhere more legit, too much editing because in reality my face looked like barf that day, not a single pic of me standing in front of the Lincoln Center freezing my arse off in some super hawt NYFW worthy ensemb because let’s be serious – my trash didn’t get invited to a single show (haha). The works people! Just don’t want to keep anyone guessing about the status of good ol’ GBO here. People don’t like change, so I’m here to confirm that I’m pretty committed to staying firmly planted in the soil of fashion blogger mediocrity. Don’t you worry.
Most of this outfit is old stuff from good ol’ Target. However, I did want to show you that red little number slung over my body there — new Kate Spade as a birthday present from husband. You better believe I put-out for that one. Sorry I just said that. I’m also a lil’ bit in love with this one and this one which are similar to the bag husband got me. Love me some Kate! Per the usual, you can shop this entire ensemb (or items similar to what I’m wearing) at the bottom of the post. And probs you’re going to want to check out that last pic, because hulloh?! (follow me on Instagram for more where that came from!)
Oh – one last thing: Thanks to everyone who came out to the TopShelf event last Thursday! It was so fun to meet some of you. You guys – I’m serious. I loved it so much. Ya know what I realized? I’m like 99.9% positive that it’s a thing for people to come to an event that a blogger hosts without ever actually coming up and talking to the blogger. I mean, if you feel no desire to talk to them, that’s one thing. But so help me if you’re not doing it because you’re worried you’ll seem like a creep, stop it right now! I was so happy that people came up and said hello at the event and asked about Baby Jack and talked with me about whatever else. Meeting you guys is the best part of this dang job (or whatever we call it)! And I wasn’t even slightly creeped out. So if you’re not in the habit of actually going and introducing yourself when you attend blogger-hosted events, I command you to start! And thank you again if you came. xoxo

You are so more than amateur! There has to be some level between amateur and pro. And that’s what you are 🙂 And you rock it.

Love your self-deprecating humor. Love even more that you said you put out for that bag (I mean seriously, who wouldn’t?!?), that you checked yourself for saying so, and then totally left it in there. Love it love it love it. ALSO love the mix of target and Kate–pretty much the best combo ever ❤️
