That is the question as it relates to this top here. Typically I’m all about that messy tuck, but this shirt was making me want to go rogue and keep it out… for…some…reason. At any rate, regardless of whether it’s tucked or not, I am a huge fan of this button-up. Chicwish – ya do good things.
You guys – it’s my baby’s birthday today. My baby is ONE year old!! I can’t even handle it. Talk about the fastest year of my life. Naturally my intentions were for this post to be something uber sentimental and Jack focused – like maybe I’d finally get around to writing his birth story – but alas, the Shannon Willardson virus strikes again (in which we intend to do something but then sure don’t end up getting around to it. Womp womp. Worst virus ever. Story of my life virus.). BUT, I’ll be cracking out on Jack-love via the Instagram, so if you’re not following me over there, come on over and follow along! That is if you don’t hate seeing pictures of super, super adorable babies, of course. We’re keeping it simple for birthday #1 – making a cake and letting him destroy it whilst mama and daddy take an inordinate amount of pictures and video. I’m so excited. Bottom line: there is nothing quite like the feeling of being a mama, and having an innocent angel in your charge. Yes it’s daunting and challenging and overwhelming and busy – it IS all of those things – but mostly, mostly it’s just I-don’t-have-the-words-to-describe-it Wonderful. It is so, so wonderful. The wonderful exceeds the challenging 100 fold. I never could have guessed how much I would love being a mama.
Have a Wishful Wednesday!
p.s. One more thing – I’m sorry you guys that my posting schedule has been sooooo lame lately. I’m trying to get myself through the month of April and then recommit to a regular posting schedule that my readers can count on… if I have any left by then, haha. The thing is, when work is chill (did you guys know I have a full time job? I work at LinkedIn. Don’t share that very often, but there ya go), keeping up with the blog feels mostly doable (by way of lots of late late nights). But when work gets busy, the blog inevitably takes a hit. And then when my personal life and work are abnormally busy at the same time, well – you get what you’ve been getting this past month or two – basically a whole lot of irregular nothingness. Like two posts a week if I’m lucky. Are you telling me to shut it in your head right now? Good- me too. I’m sick of hearing about this too. Good thing most likely no one is reading this last paragraph right now anyway, let’s be serious. But jusssssst in case you are, there’s my explanation. And also me vocalizing my intention to get back to some consistency with this whole dang thang. It feels better that way – for me, at least. K shutting up now. Thanks for hangin’ in with me! xoxo

I had no idea you worked at LinkediIn. I also deal with the same frustrations about getting posts out there, but unlike you, uploading two posts per week is a good week for me :s

I say if you have the waist and no additional tummy fat, got with the tucked in look. if you on the other hand have a little muffin top, leave it loose. That’s just what I think

I always have this dilemma about tucking! I think I like it when the front is tucked in and the back hangs out – it creates a little more shape.
Happy Thursday!

Getting back to a regular posting schedule can be tricky when you get out of your routine, but you’ll get there! I wasn’t aware that you worked at LinkedIn but that has to be an awesome job! Loving the beaded details of this button down, too!
