Yep – it’s that time. The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is here people! This has been my strategy for awhile now guys: I keep an ongoing list of things that I want to add to my closet or that I’ve had my eye on. I also keep an ongoing list of ‘investment pieces’ I’m interested in (i.e. nicer handbags, a super classic, well-made pair of heels, etc.). Then, I wait until my favorite retailers who sell things like that are having their huge sales…. i.e. Nordstrom… i.e. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE TIMES… and then that’s when I buy. I basically never, ever buy my nicer items at full price, cuz why would you when you can hold out and then get them for a significant discount? Example: this would be an excellent time to pull the trigger on getting a super classic, nicer black or brown handbag like this Michael Kors or this Rebecca Minkoff. OR, it would be a great time to treat yourself to one of those Kate Spade items you’ve only ever dreamed about owning (like this killer pencil skirt or pop-of-color handbag) but know you’d use a lot if you had it. Do it now when it’s majorly on sale! That’s what I’m sayin’.

And there you have it! That strategy has been working really well and I fully intend to apply it to the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale this season. Woot! My favorite picks from the sale are above. Make sure you disable any ad-blockers or pop-up blockers on your site so you can see them. Sale started today and goes through the 31st, but I’ll tell you right now – stuff sells out crazy fast (i.e. this amazing Tory Burch bag was available last night at midnight and is now gone) , so if you’re planning on capitalizing on this, I’d get to it. HAPPY SHOPPING!
