You guys – can we agree that holiday shopping has officially hit full-swing? Well, that is if you’re not me – I tend to make it a point to not be on top of anything, which means I literally haven’t purchased a single gift yet (#awesome). That being said, there’s one thing I have done in prep for getting my holiday shopping on: I gifted myself! Yep – you heard me right. I bought myself a lil’ gift or two. Does that make me a Selfish Samantha? Perhaps. But I think there’s another way to look at it: I genuinely tend to believe that when you treat yourself first, you feel more inspired to treat others – and it makes the whole holiday shopping process more exciting and fun! Right? Guys, am I crazy? Or can you get behind me on this? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that you should all give it a try, and you should start with Target’s Wonderlist – a curated collection of adorable seasonal picks that would make awesome gifts for yourself, and for others too!
I picked out this adorable poncho from the list and styled it in two ways – both of which I think would work swimmingly for Thanksgiving dinner. Looking for ways to cover a food baby (on top of a real baby in my case) anyone? This poncho will have you covered without you looking frumpy. Winning! Top it off with some dramatic lipstick like the L’Oreal exclusive collection version I’m wearing (color ‘Blake’ is what I got on). Add some cute accessories and you’re good to go. The best thing about shopping at Target for all of these things is that none of them will break the bank. The end result: you’re guilt-free, you look adorable for Thanksgiving dinner, and you’re prepped for diving into holiday shopping because you invested in some self-care first. Here’s to putting yourself first on the list once in awhile!
So what do you think guys? Am I crazy? Willing to try out my philosophy? And what the H are you all wearing for Thanksgiving dinner? Fill me in! And be sure to check out Target’s Wonderlist for something adorable… for yourself! 🙂
Have a Magical Monday!
