3 Ways to Take Your Momiform from Drab to Fab

Ok guys- I looked up Momiform on urbandictionary.com, and here’s what I found…

Momiform (n): an outfit worn by a 30 something mom that has lost all sense of style. 

Ummmm, are you dying? How hilarious is that? K, so here’s our new mission: transforming our momiforms so that they don’t resemble someone who has lost all sense of style, and instead makes us look like sexy beasts who got it goin’ on!

So with no further adieu, here are three easy ways to take your momiform from fugly and drab to chic and fab:

• Put something around your neck. Whether it’s a statement necklace or a cute scarf (like this one), adding something interesting around your neck is a simple way to take your momiform from frumps to fantastic.
• Go for comfy-chic shoes (emphasis on the chic). My go-to is a pair of classic booties like these. But with the tennis shoe trend being all the rage right now, comfy-chic can mean a pair of sneakers (like I wore here) or slips ons (worn in this post). Whatever style you choose, just make sure they’re comfy enough to wear for several hours at a time and chase your kiddos around in!
  • Special Shout Out: I have to specifically mention the Sam Edelman ‘Petty’ booties that I have on here. Don’t worry that I have these babies in four different colors. Four, you guys (black, gray, honey, and leopard). Call that hashtag what you will… #embarrassing, #obnoxious, #outofcontrol, #alloftheabove… but I’m telling you, they’re that good. Comfy enough to wear all day long, and classic enough to go with basically everything. In my book that makes them totally worth the price (and they’re not even that bad price wise either). Just sayin!
• Carry a killer handbag. Guys, I’ve become such a sucker for handbags. In my opinion, it’s one of the easiest ways to up-level an outfit. You can be in head-to-toe Forever21 and if you have a nice handbag, your whole outfit can end up looking high-end. Know what I mean? In my opinion, having a couple nice, high quality handbags is hashtag worth it.
  • Special Shout Out: I recently added this bag to my collection and I’ve been so glad that I did. You may have seen the gorgeous Givenchy ‘Antigona’ handbag that is kind of all the rage right now. It’s a stunning handbag and super classic, buuuuuuut remember how it costs between $1500-$2500 depending on the size? Yikes. This Rebecca is a killer knock-off of that bag and is a fraction of the cost. Woot!
