Let’s talk about bathrooms. Are we close enough to be able to do that? (answer: ummmm, depends on what aspect of bathrooms you’re wanting to talk about Shannon, you weirdo). K, YES, it’s where all our personal biznass takes place (which is the part we won’t be talking about here, so don’t you worry), but it’s also where a lot of us spend a relatively significant amount of time, especially in the morning when we’re getting ready for the day. I don’t know about you, but from old towels to bare walls, my bathroom has been in need of a serious tune-up. Sooooo: I teamed up with Target to apply some simple, easy, budget friendly tweaks to my bathroom in hopes of making it less dull and stressful and more inspiring and refreshing. Woot!
Two Ways to Decorate Your Porch!
Happy Friday amigos! Sorry for being completely M.I.A. this week. Some last minute travel for work to NYC made this week a little cray cray crazy. But I’ve teamed up with Target today to talk porches! Yes porches. It’s summer after all, which means a lot more coming and going for you, your family and your friends. Translation: getting your porch game on-point might not be the worst idea. Especially when it comes to the summer get-togethers you’re hosting, having something fun and inviting right on your front porch is like telling your guests ‘hey, you’re in the right place and this is gonna be guuuuuud’ before they even walk throught the front door. Winning!
Since husband and I are in a poopy little apartment right now, I borrowed my in-laws’ porch to create two different looks, featuring items primarily from good ol’ Target (a.k.a. budget friendly). Lemme know what you think!

Crush your mid-week hosting (with just 5 extra mins!)
If you’ve followed GBO for very long (or even 5 minutes), you’ve probably gathered that I have a serious propensity for spreading myself way too thin. It’s something I’m good at – what can I say? (#nottobrag #justkiddingthisisntagoodthing) With a full time job + the blog + husband + my sweet baby boy, you’d think that mid-week entertaining is something we simply wouldn’t have time for. Aaaaand you’d basically be right. BUT, a person’s gotta live too, amiright?!

Four Tips for Styling a Bookcase
Thank you Target for sponsoring this post! Happy Hump Day peeps! On the agenda today: How to Style a Bookcase. I’ve teamed up with Target and my go-to gal for interior design inspiration, Michaela, to share some tips on how to ace bookcase styling instead of disgracing it. Cuz it can be a fine line, amiright? The truth is, nobody needs this advice more than I do right now. Can I keep it real with you for a sec and tell you things that will reveal what a snobby, pretentious, entitled whore I can be sometimes? Chase and I recently moved into an apartment. And not a nice apartment, not a town home, no – I’m talkin’ a massive, moderately ghetto apartment complex. With units the size of shoe boxes. And carpet. And popcorn ceilings. And walls that need a fresh paint job worse than my roots need to be dyed at 6…
Target at Home
Thank you Target for sponsoring this post! (^ Jack was also a fan of the accent table. ^) Happy Monday friends! Sooooo, I’m not sure if it’s common knowledge that I’m a lil’ bit obsessed with interior design. Yeppers. When husband and I first got married, we moved into this house in good ol’ Provo, Utah. It was old as can be and the size of a shoe box, but it had character – hard wood floors, high ceilings, crown molding everywhere, that kind of thing. Chase quickly discovered that having my own place to decorate unleashed a beast in me. An interior design obsessed beast. We’re talking hours and hours of pouring over design blogs and Pinterest and online shopping for things I thought would make our house a home. It took some time and energy to get it to where I wanted it, but I think Chase and…
