Lame – really lame – because everybody loves to wear shorts and a t-shirt – especially me. That being said, I’m not into running shoes (unless I’m running) so I try to class up my t-shirt/short moments with a nice pair of boat shoes. An outfit like this can be worn anytime, really, but especially if you’re running errands or trying to look fly for the family BBQ. And heaven knows you want to look good (and not desperately single) at the family BBQ. So… GBO? Awwwww, the illustrious weekend. It’s always WAY too short, amiright? Good thing there’s MENSWEAR MONDAY to look forward to! Husband pulled this outfit together completely on his own last week (and the crowd goes wild! Wooot!). He wore it for ‘Bow Tie Tuesday’ – a weekly ritual at his work, recently started by Husband himself after he wore one of TimberBeast‘s bow ties to work one day and his boss took such a liking to it that he dubbed Tuesday as the official ‘Bow Tie’ day. Happy Monday peeps! Happy Menswear Monday, that is. Remember how I’m secretly so sad to even have to say the word MONDAY to you right meow? I do. I remember that. My parental units came to visit over the weekend, and mostly I have the most wonderful parentals in all the land so it was glorious (which isn’t making the Monday-back-to-the-grind thing any easier). We showed them all around San Francisco, which is our current home. (Well, it’s kinda our current home. Technically we live in the Walnut Creek/Concord area, but SF is just a hop-skip-anda-jump away, so we grandfather ourselves in. Cuz we’re shameless like that. And we wanna be cool.) We also stuffed ourselves with delicious foods until I could have delivered three-count-em-three full term food babies: one for each day that the parents were here. But do I curr? We’re bringing back an old favorite for Menswear Monday today – Mr. Scotty C. himself. You may be starting to recognize Scotty as a fairly regular contributor to the Menswear Monday series. And the reason for that is mostly because a) I’m obsessed with his style (see why here, here and here), b) I’m obsessed with his soul (he’s an intensely wonderful human), c) the rest of the male population would do well to dress just like him, and so who am I to withhold that from them? Or from their wives/girlfriends who help them get dressed? Wouldn’t even be right. So with no further adieu, herrrrrrrrre’s Scotty! Welcome back urrrrybody! I hope you had the most wonderful Fourth of July weekend! I also hope you’re managing to keep knives away from wrists on this ‘back-to-the-grind-MONDAY’. The first day back to regular life after a holiday is always a little rough, isn’t it? Tell me I’m not the only one with that puke-double-puke feeling?
