So is this how you’re starting to feel too about Nsale posts? Jack is SO OVER IT. Haha! This was yesterday when we of course went back to Nordy’s for one last (hopefully) run-through of things on my wish list from the NSale. He was not havin’ it. Despite that though, you guys I walked out of there with guuuuud stuff that I can’t even believe I considered not buying. I bought this tunic in three colors (white, black and olive) because it is seriously that good. So flattering, so comfy, and so great for chubby, bloated days (#winning). Also waltzed out of there with this adorable Kate Spade wallet, these killer jeans (under $50! for jeans!), and this cutie phone case. Necessary, right? I’m ridiculous.

At any rate, Happy Hump Day! My apologies for the general lack of actual outfit posts lately. For some reason it’s seemed like such a struggle recently to get any pics taken. Woof. BUT, since you’re totally not even sick of this at all (murp), for today’s post I’ve rounded up my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks for makeup/beauty and beauty and for MEN. Woot! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks: Under $50!

K guys – I hope it’s not starting to feel like I’m beating a dead horse here, but the reason I’ve been emphasizing the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so much is because it’s that good (in my opinion at least). AND, if you haven’t had ‘early access’ to the sale because you don’t have a Nordy’s card, never fear: the sale will open up to everyone on Thursday, July 16! To prep you for that, I’ll be doing several round-ups this week: Sale faves for under $50, sale faves for under $100, and my favorite ‘investment’ pieces – things that are over $100 or more but that I think are hashtag worth it (and I’ll share why I think so). By Thursday if you’re checking GBO regularly this week, all the work should be done for you and you can hit the sale knowing exactly what you want to get your paws on before it sells out! Woot!

TGIF friends! Jack and I braved the madness of Day 1 of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yesterday. You guys – hashtag WORTH. IT. This sale is so amaze-balls (if you’re not a card-holder and therefore don’t have early access, you really should consider getting one. There was already stuff that sold out, after day 1! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2015 is HERE!

It’s here! THE BEST SALE OF THE YEAR IS HERE you guys! Why is it the best sale of the year, you ask? Ohhhhhh just because Nordy’s rolls out all of the new Fall stuff and discounts it as much as 40-50%. HELLO?! YES people. Yes. This is a thing. Here’s the deal you guys: Beyond just the fun and games of a killer sale and treating yourself to something new, I honestly look at sales like this strategically. Here’s what I mean: *I* personally am not the gal who just has cash to burn, BUT I have genuinely learned to appreciate the value in buying quality over quantity, especially for certain things. For me, those are things like handbags, classic coats, jeans for sure, boots – basically the things that I can use over and over again without thinking twice and that I know will last me a loooong time without becoming obsolete as soon as the trends turn. Those are the things I’m willing to spend a little more money on. And you guys – I did not used to be this way. I was not raised to think like this, but I have learned from my own personal experience: there is truly something to be said for quality over quantity with certain things. Well what better time to make an investment on a staple item when it will be seriously discounted? Example: this beautiful Tory Burch bag in the perfect neutral colors is literally over $100 off right now. Hashtag worth it. WORTH IT!

5 Tips for scoring an “Out of Stock” Item

Happy Hump Day lovers and friends! Sorry for my empty promise of having this post up yesterday. I should just learn my lesson that unless the post is already done or close, I should keep my mouth shut! K well anywaaaaaays – let’s get to it. Today’s post is serious stuff you guys. Let’s be honest: is there any woman in the world who hasn’t had the experience of finding something you’re absolutely in love with, and you look at it and look at it – you may even put it in your cart – but for whatever you reason, you hesitate to actually pull the trigger and buy it? And then, when you go back again to look, suddenly it’s gone? Wait, what?! Sold out?! Out of stock?! Nooooooooooooo! Yes, you guys. Oh yes. It happens. Things sell out. ‘Why didn’t I just buy it when I first saw it?!’ you lament. But you didn’t. You didn’t buy it, and now you’ve missed your chance.
