Husband crushed it this Christmas. I mean, he may have had a little help from an outside source on what to buy for his wife (that outside source being, well, his wife), but boy did he do a great job of clicking those links I sent him and making sure the goods got delivered in time. Woot woot! Here’s the thing – I’m not one to shop at places like Piperlime all that often, cuz it can be pretty pricey. But, when they’re having killer sales (like the one they’re having right now), I always like to peruse and see if anything I’d been long-time coveting went on sale. Such was the case with this gorgeous Sabine coat, and I knew – I knew it was time to do the dang thang. To my great delight it was even more yummy in real life than it was on my computer…

Cool: still being on Christmas vacation. Not cool: waking up this morning feeling like death. We’re talking body aches, sore throat, cold sweats, and that feeling of straight-up exhaustion where it takes you an hour to conjure up the energy to take a few IB profens. Wooooooof. And coming down with something when you’re supposed to be vacationing is such a life-cheat, right?

How’s THAT for an explanation you didn’t ask for or care about? Do you care to hear about this skirt though? I don’t know about you, but I’m a total sucker for these A-line skirts. I feel like there’s so many different ways you can wear them, and they always look chic, sophisticated and polished. Chicwish is fast becoming my go-to for skirts like this (and a million other things). This beauty I’m wearing is on sale for only $39 and the quality is amazing. I was honestly a little bit shocked.
