Yep – that be my mug right thurr, without a stitch of makeup on it (ok that’s a lie – my eyebrows are filled in, mostly because I just had them waxed before I took these pics and I just couldn’t bear to undo the incredible handy-work of my eyebrow gal. So sue me?). Meet my freckles and uneven skin tone. They’re awwwwwesome. Now let’s talk about this new liquid foundation from bareMinerals, shall we? To begin: admittedly the words liquid and foundation always make me an immediate skeptic, mostly because liquid foundation and I haven’t ever gotten along to well.
However, when I heard that bareMinerals had come up with a liquid foundation, I knew it was worth looking into based on their incredible reputation. That’s why I teamed up with bareMinerals to try out their bareSkin foundation. Like I said, I wasn’t a liquid foundation wearing gal, so I was a bit skeptical at first. But lemme tell you about my experience.
Here’s why I liked it:
1. It’s light weight. No, really. I didn’t feel like I had a cake on my face or a pound of heavy makeup. I truly felt like the bareSkin foundation had a weightless look and feel. Plus it made my skin look brighter. Woot!
2. The coverage rocks, even though it’s light-weight. Usually, when I think light-weight, I don’t think great coverage. With liquid foundations I’ve used in the past, those two haven’t gone hand in hand. But the coverage with bareSkin foundation was impressive. Like, fo real. Bye bye freckles and uneven skin tone!
3. The brush was rad. Somehow it magically distributed and blended the foundation in like a regular Renaissance artist. Yep – a Renaissance artist. Just go with it. Loved loved loved the brush.
4. It comes in a million shades. Ok, 20 to be exact, but that’s a ton. I felt like it was easy to find a shade that matched my skin tone nearly perfectly.
Some other cool facts about the foundation:
• No silicone. No oil. No parabens. No fragrance.
• Non-chemical broad spectrum SPF 20. Hypoallergenic. Non-comedogenic.
• Clinically proven to improve the appearance of dark spots, skin brightness and skin
texture.
• Coconut-derived base with jojoba-coated mineral pigments and brightening
ingredients. Supercharged Lilac Plant Stem Cells and Vitamin C help to reveal
brighter, more even-toned skin
• Ultra-thin, silky texture—one to two weightless drops naturally transform, soften
and smooth your complexion
• Exclusive Patent-Pending Perfecting Face Brush is expertly designed to deliver
effortless, seamless coverage
The Verdict:
I may just be making a permanent switch to liquid foundation peeps. I honestly liked bareSkin foundation that much. The coverage was great, the feel of it was awesome, and the price point is reasonable. You can buy bareSkin foundation online or in makeup stores like Sephora, Ulta, or of course a bareMinerals store.
So what do you think guys? Would you try a liquid foundation? Tell me your thoughts!

I actually love liquid foundation. I have very naturally dry skin, so when I use powder I feel like it always makes my face look more dry and crusty. However, I haven’t found my favorite liquid foundation yet, so I’ll definitely be trying this!

Another advantage of switching to BareSkin? No BareMinerals powder covering every surface in your bathroom! Am I the only one with that problem? I absolutely love BareMinerals and am really hoping to try BareSkin very soon… Thanks for the info you cute lady 🙂

I love your freckles and liquid foundation but haven’t found one I love. I guess I’m running out to Sephora or Bare Minerals soon!

Awww, I love your freckles. I’m in my mid 30’s and am embracing my freckles and uneven tone. my husband loves me more natural. I use Bare Minerals ready foundation and love it, I just started it using a lighter brush to have a lighter application so i look more natural. of course spending a week in Hawaii last week, helped with that as well! I too, do not usually get alone well with liquid foundation. I usually am great with it for a month and then notice my rosacea comes back in full force. so i’m reluctant to even try this. You should go natural more often, you look great!
