Chase and I spent the weekend in Tahoe a couple weekends ago. If you’ve never been there, put that sucker on your bucket list peeps. It is just so darn beautiful. I told you how Chase was doing the Tough Mudder, right? Yeah – that’s why we were up there. You guys – it was such an ordeal. The Tough Mudder itself went great for Chase. He basically crushed it, which came as no surprise. Chase is kind of one of those annoying guys who is really good at everything he does, even if it’s a first-try situation and even if he hasn’t trained for it AT ALL. It’s a real confidence booster for me (who is not that way), let me tell ya. Anywho, he did great. However, WE (meaning Jack and I) didn’t see any of it. We missed the entire thing! Wahhhhh! I thought it was going to take them longer than it did to complete the course, so I figured I’d put Jack down for his morning nap and then we’d go up there and catch the last half after he woke up. Well as it turned out, husband finished way faster than anticipated and Jack slept longer than anticipated, and the combo meant that we literally showed up to the race location after Chase had crossed the finish line. We didn’t see any of it. Can you believe that?! I was secretly super butt-hurt about it actually. May or may not have cried about it. Haha! Aaaaaaand now you all know that it was clearly that time of the month for little Miss Emotional over here when all of this was goin’ down. Awesome. All in all, it was a good weekend, despite the Tough Mudder debacle.
Two Ways to Decorate Your Porch!
Happy Friday amigos! Sorry for being completely M.I.A. this week. Some last minute travel for work to NYC made this week a little cray cray crazy. But I’ve teamed up with Target today to talk porches! Yes porches. It’s summer after all, which means a lot more coming and going for you, your family and your friends. Translation: getting your porch game on-point might not be the worst idea. Especially when it comes to the summer get-togethers you’re hosting, having something fun and inviting right on your front porch is like telling your guests ‘hey, you’re in the right place and this is gonna be guuuuuud’ before they even walk throught the front door. Winning!
Since husband and I are in a poopy little apartment right now, I borrowed my in-laws’ porch to create two different looks, featuring items primarily from good ol’ Target (a.k.a. budget friendly). Lemme know what you think!

Coveting Constance
That’s what I am. Just a big fat Coveting Constance. Anthropologie is having a sale on dresses but JUST THROUGH THE WEEKEND. Get 25% off ALL dresses, including those that are already on sale if I’m not mistaken. Anthro seems to rarely have sales on full priced items, so if you want to score one of their amazing dresses at a discount, now’s your chance. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites! You can shop the entire sale HERE.
Also FYI: J.Crew and J.Crew Factory are both having sales over the weekend. And probs a million other places but those are the ones I’m aware of and stoked about. Happy shopping!

Date Night: How to make it happen when schedules are busy and money is tight.
Chase and I have had a rule since the day we got married that we’d always do a weekly date night. We’ve both been influenced by our parents who set the example of doing regular date nights. They always stressed the importance of continuing to ‘court’ each other after marriage and taught us how imperative it was to take that time alone together each week. So Chase and I decided early on that we’d make it a priority to do that. And honestly, our weekly date nights have become one of my absolute favorite parts of our marriage. It’s so nice to go out with this boy I fell in love with and reconnect with him as my lover. Ya know what I mean? Yes he’s the man I share a roof and a bank account with and we divide and conquer on parenting duties and the daily tasks, yes. BUT, he’s also my dreamy, interesting boyfriend. He’s my trusted bestie. He’s the guy I want to talk to. He’s the guy I want to check me out. He’s the man I want to impress. Date night helps me turn down the noise of the daily minutia and turn up the volume on all of that.

Fathers Day Gift Ideas
Happy Tuesday homies! This post is more for me than it is for you. (you’re like Mmmmmk? Thanks a lot you selfish B!) I mean, I hope that you find it helpful as well, but mostly I have no flippin’ clue what to get husband for Fathers Day, so this post was intended to force me to think about it and figure something out. Fathers Day is in less than 2 weeks, after all. Less than two weeks people! Can you believe that? We’re almost half way through June! What the deuce? Where does the time go? I can’t appreciate it.
Anywhoooooo, in my search I stumbled onto J.Crew Factory and discovered that all their Dad related items (a.k.a. mens stuff) were 40% off right now. Woot! So I rounded up a handful of my favorite items to give you some Fathers Day gift ideas! That floral chambray tie is happening for sure, and husband is going to like it or else. Mostly what I love about getting Chase J.Crew Factory stuff is that I feel like I’m getting away with something: it seems like a nicer gift because it’s J.Crew, but it really doesn’t cost much more than I’d pay elsewhere because it’s factory. Husband feels good, I feel good – everybody wins!
