Ok – so you may or may not know this, but turns out I not only love fashion. I am ALSO mildly to severely obsessed with home decor and interior design.
So when I discovered the Golden Girls and their blog Golden White Decor – and realized that they were real good at interior design AND fashion, I knew they had to be this week’s
Style Crush!

How would you describe your style?
Our style is best described as European elegance mixed with chic, laid back California lifestyle. We like to mix boho with prep, and believe all women should clothe themselves in class. Our light and airy palate reflects our dreamy state of mind and our goal to inspire the world through our passion. The Golden Girls represent all things golden, and Golden White Décor reflects our sunny disposition and high energy on life.
Who are your fashion icons?
Blake Lively, The Olsen Twins, and Kate Bosworth… Golden Girls with golden style!
Where do you go for fashion inspiration?
We are inspired by our surroundings and the light coastal California vibes. We also look for inspiration in our travels. Each city, state, and country has their own take on fashion. Fashion and décor trends are continually evolving and it is important to keep an open mind. It is also key to look to past trends, and how they can be refreshed, revamped, and altered to fit our current lifestyle.
What are the top three places you shop?
Shopbop.com, boutiques in Santa Barbara and Newport (Diani, Wendy Foster, Angel, Modern Romance), and Nordstroms!
What’s your ‘Go-To’ outfit for when you need to get ready in a flash?
A white tee and cut off jean shorts! You can pair it with boots and a scarf, sandals and a floppy hat, or a comfy sweatshirt. It’s versatile, casual, and a great canvas for multiple looks!
What do you seek to achieve when you dress?
We dress to achieve what fits out mood. Somedays we are in the mood to keep it boho, while others we put some prep in our step with a more tailored look. It all depends what fits the occasion and vibe of the day!
Would you say you have a ‘signature’ style? If so, what are the main elements?
Our signature style is a soft, feminine and elegant. The photos included best describe our signature look. We love whites, creams, neutrals, lace, and silks… anything that looks whimsical and dreamy!
How do you think others can achieve a truly individual/unique style?
Everyone has to be true to themselves and listen to what makes their heart tick! It’s that style and look that makes you smile from ear to ear, and makes you feel a true sense of glee!
Why is the way you look/dress important to you?
It allows us to express our creativity, love of life, and sunny take on California couture.
Do you follow trends? If so, what trends excite you at the moment?
We really don’t follow what is “hot now”. We like to instead look to the elegance of the past…. There is so much beauty to be found in past trends and times.
What made you want to start a blog?
We love fashion, decor, creative writing, photography, styling, encouraging others, and brightening days! Our blog encompasses everything we are passionate about!
What fashion or styling tips would you give to women who want to improve their sense of style?
Dress to impress! How you dress reflects how you feel – so doll yourself up and be your own golden star!

what about no white after labor day? (my mother told me this)!
i like the golden girls & they’re into light, flowy, california boho, but what about conservative utah! i have some tops, dresses, i used to wear by themselves but now i wear a cami almost under everything, i never thought of myself as immodest but now i wonder if i was?!? i am the only woman in syracuse (that i’ve seen that wears & love skinny jeans), (is there something wrong with that)? there are only two women in my stake that concern ourselves with makeup let alone fashion! is there something wrong with me/us?
anyway keep blogging i like it, i must confess though i am ‘matchy matchy’!
