I came across her blog Hello Fashion long ago and was instantly smitten. Not only does she have a unique, signature style – she also owns her own shop! 1. How would you describe your style?

I wouldn’t really say I have a set style. Honestly I love it all. It really just depends on my mood. Some days I feel girly and glam, and other days I feel rugged and head for my ripped jeans and oversized tees.

2. Who are your fashion icons?

I don’t know if I would say I have a fashion icon… my favorite blogger hands down is Sincerely Jules, her style is amazing.

3. Where do you go for fashion inspiration?

Pinterest, blogs, magazines, walking around the streets, I feel like their is inspiration everywhere.

4. What are the top three places you shop?

Shoes. Zappos & Nordstroms.

Clothes. Forever 21, J. Crew, Sax, Target

Accessories. ILY, Michael Kors

5. What’s your ‘Go-To’ outfit for when you need to get ready in a flash?

Depends on where I’m heading, but my boyfriend jeans are probably what I wear most. I can dress them up with heels and a blouse if I need something a little more dressy – or throw on a hoodie and some wedge sneakers if I’m just running to meet a friend.

6. Do you follow trends? If so, what trends excite you at the moment?

I love seeing what’s trending, and trying new things. I am obsessed with aztec right now, it’s more of an older trend but I love it. Also been trying to find the perfect clear bag. I love the see through purses and totes I have seeing in magazines, swooning over a little Marc Jacobs number right now.

7. Why is the way you look/dress important to you?

I think it’s important to feel good about yourself because confidence effects so many areas of your life, but I think you can feel good about yourself in more ways than clothes and how you dress. I love fashion, and its become a part of my daily life, but I definitely think there are more important things in the scheme of life.

8. What fashion or styling tips would you give to women who want to improve their sense of style?

You don’t have to spend a bunch of money to improve your look. Lipsticks are easy way to change up an outfit. Bright Pinks are great for Spring/Summer. Invest in quality over quantity. Shop sales! Sign up for sale alerts from your favorite brands, and don’t forget about price adjustments. I almost always get $ back from J. Crew because there stuff always goes on sale.

9. What made you want to start a blog?

I have just always loved deign and fashion. One of my best friends kept telling me I needed to start a blog, so I jumped on the bag wagon and gave it try. Really love doing it now.

10. What are the top three tips you’d give to bloggers wanting to build their following?

* Post everyday – I really wish I could do this. Blogging is like a full time job, unfortunately I work over 40 hours a week at my other job, so I don’t get to post as much as I wish, but it really makes a difference when you do.

* Get Google Analytics – if you want to work with brands you need to know your stats. Collaborating with brands and other bloggers helps gain exposure.

* Pictures! I used to take mirror pictures because, well, it was easy. I started asking my husband to help me, and I noticed I started getting more comments on those pictures so I just transitioned. As the blog has grown it has allowed me to invest in a better camera and lens, but even if you can’t afford that right away have a friend or family shoot your pictures. It makes a difference!
