Ok guys – I’ve been lusting after the perfect fall boots. And I’ve settled on the fact that riding boots are what I want, cuz the ones I’m rocking right now from last-season-Forever-21 just aren’t cuttin’ it any more (a. because they’re falling apart. b. because they only cost $40 so it figures that they’re falling apart. c. because i wore the crap outta them last season (and this season already) so it double-figures that they’d be falling apart. d. cuz i’m a grown woman – isn’t it ok by now for me to invest in a pair of decent, real leather boots already? i mean COME ON!)
So help a sista out…

K, but let’s be serious: the ones I really want are ^these^ beauts. Turns out husband’s not ready yet for me to drop that kind of cash on a pair of boots. Sigh…some day you’ll be a part of my life Tory.

I LOVE riding boots, but my biggest issue is that I have short legs; my calves are low and my knees are too so the wide part of the boot isn’t where I need it for my calf and they’re too high on my leg to walk comfortably 🙁

I just went through the same dilemma as you! My old boots [which were 40 bucks] were falling apart and just looked terrible. I actually found a good selection of leather boots at Marshalls for around $100.00 – maybe you should check there?
Good leather riding boots are my favorite and probably best investment so far in my wardrobe! I got mine from Aldo last year – a gorgeous chestnut color. I would definitely check out their styles as well. The quality is amazing.

I got a pair of black and a cognac leather boots last year at JCP (similar in style to the ones you are featuring)… they were each $65…. I couldn’t decide which pair to get, but at that price, I got BOTH! A-Mazing!!! 🙂

I need a new pair as well! My last ones I wore like crazy and had to toss them – my favorite out of these is #3 – I love they they don’t have that clunky wrap and the zip in the back, perfffect!
#2 or #3 – Both have the zipper in the back and I think they are very stylish.

boots is my ridiculous fall obsession, I just bought another pair this weekend! My husband hates it, but I jut can’t stop, they go with EVERY outfit:)

I would say #3 or #8 – those would be my picks! I have a pair similar to #8 from Saks and have nearly worn them into the ground. I wear them with EVERYTHING. I am sure you will look great in any pair you choose:)

Riding boots are an absolute essential for any woman’s closet. I wore mine out last year and need new ones this year too and want to invest as I feel a little too old for the Charlotte Russe/Forever pairs too! I vote for #2 or #8 or those Tory’s would be a perfect investment piece!! Can’t wait to see which ones you get!
