It’s that day, isn’t it? That ‘back-to-work/back-to-the-grind’ day? I think so. It is for me anyway. It’s also day two of the new year, and week 27 of this wild ride they call pregnancy. I have to admit – the first two trimesters seemed to fly by, and suddenly I feel like things got put into slow motion. Maybe it’s a little bit of anxious anticipation about the trimester three symptoms I’ve been hearing about – the restlessness, the exhaustion, the inability to get comfortable, the aggravated aches and pains. It feels like I just need to hold my breath for the next three months and pray it goes by quickly and painlessly. (aaaand everyone reading this who has kids thinks to themselves ‘dream on sista’. I know – I know.)
