I accidentally stumbled upon this sweater whilst coveting browsing Forever 21 online, and I knew immediately that it HAD to be a part of my life. Firstly, because it has seahorses on it – in bright red orange, no less. And secondly, because the seahorses are making out. And I choose to believe that they’re making out because they’re in love. And maybe on top of being in love, they’re also honest and pure and good little seahorses – the kind that are loving and trustworthy and loyal to each other for all of their lives. And maybe they’ll even start a little family with lots of baby seahorses (would that be a cute sweater? Maybe?), and they’ll work together to leave the world a little better than they found it. Yep. Pritttty sure that’s the story. Thanks Forever 21.
I had intended to wear this here little ensemb to a fashion event last week in the city after work. But then, ya know what happened guys? I got a mad case of the ‘Anti-social-just-want-to-go-home-and-put-my-pajamas-on’ blues. And ya know what? That’s exactly what I did. I scooted my little bum right on home and I didn’t even regret it. Not that much, anyway. Can I confess something to you guys? It seems that the older I get, the more anti-social I become. What the what, right? But seriously guys – it’s starting to alarm me. You used to have to pay me to stay home at night, particularly on a weekend. And now, I can honestly say that probably about 80% of the time, I’d just assume lie low and do something super low key with those I’m closest to and feel the most comfortable with, as opposed to going out and doing something crazy ‘fun’ and ‘adventurous’. Is this bad? Should I be concerned? Should I force myself to break out of this weird phase I’m in? It’s not good to be reclusive all the time, right? Someone out there – surprise me and tell me you feel the same way so that I don’t feel like such a whack job. Please? K thanks.

Girl. You have no idea. I do the same thing. Like, I get invited out, and I find myself thinking of any reason I can say no. And I really have no reason to, I just want to sit at home and do nothing! Glad I’m not the only one! Especially if the hubs is home. It’s stay at home. eat ice cream. Someone should do a study on it.
I love everything from this outfit, from head to toe. Definitely awesome. And I definitely get anti-social more often than I get social and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. You’re just honoring your body!

Love the sweater! I like the idea of the seahorses making out too. I thought I was one the few people white preferred to stay at home than to be around bunches of people. The less there are, the better. I enjoy my space. 🙂

I love the seahorses! They are so cute. And the sweater looks awesome with the shoes. I am such a homebody, I generally prefer to stay home and snuggle with my husband and dogs. However, since I don’t know anyone where we live now, it would be nice to go out every once in a while!

P.S. I have noticed that I am getting more anti-social as the older I get as well. I have come to a conclusion that I am working a lot more now so by the weekends I am just too tired to be spontaneous and fun… that is how I justify it anyway. 🙂
I’ve been so hesitant to buy these sweaters. You can pull this look off so well. You look great.
I also like to go home and chill out. I’ve realized that Friday’s are just better at home… then errands and appointments on Saturday. It’s been that way for a little while now, so I’m itching to go out. No problem, out is out, we’ll go out this weekend!
