I hope you all have romantic plans with someone special this evening. Nope – I take it back. But not because I don’t wish that. Mostly because for a long time, I was that girl who was always single on Valentine’s Day, and the closest thing I had to romantic plans was a chick-flick, my roommates, and a bum-load of fattening food (welcome to a glimpse into my college days. Talk about epic.). And ya know what? I still had a pretty dang good time. Valentine’s Day is love’s holiday – and we all got love in our lives, right? So whatever your plans are tonight, I simply hope it’s a lovely evening – whether you’re spending it alone, with friends, or with your significant other. Just as a suggestion: a big balloon bouquet kind of solves all your problems. I learned that during this mini photo shoot you’re witnessing in today’s post. So if nothing else, go buy yourself some pink and red balloons. You’ve earned it!

This is most likely what I’ll be wearing tonight. Valentine’s Day is a great excuse for dressing up, but it doesn’t have to be. Sometimes you just feel like keeping it casual and comfortable, amiright? And let’s be serious – the 33 1/2 weeks pregnant lady was not about to put on a dress and some heels, even for a few hours on a special evening. Sorry husband. Instead I’ll be keeping things festive with these adorable red flats and the comfiest blazer ever from Old Navy. Add some glam with red lipstick, a glitzy statement necklace, and some ‘love’ inspired arm/finger candy, and you got yourself a winning combination right there. Huzzah!

  3. I am not a big red person but it looks so cute as an accent color. I bought a black and white heart button down that my 28 week pregnant belly is just still fitting into. I love your little rings. I’ve been wanting to try the style but with my engagement ring on one hand and my wedding band on the other I’m afraid it will be too much. Thoughts? Enjoy the day!

  6. I’ll be spending the evening with the love of my life – my little girl. I work full time and during the week bedtime is always rushed. So I make Friday is our”slumber party” night. We have milk and cookies, read a ton of books at leisure then snuggle up and watch a movie (right now we’re in a Dumbo phase). My almost 3 year old looks forward to our slumber parties and so do I. Tonight, because it’s V day, we’re going to wear our pink pj’s & have a special treat – heart shaped cupcakes and strawberry milk. I cherish these moments. Just you wait. Snuggling with your baby are really the best moments ever.
